Xenopus gene name has changed from rnf220 (rnf220.1), ring finger protein 220, gene 1 [XB-GENE-485089] to rnf220, ring finger protein 220 after merged with rnf220.2 (GeneID: 100135230, XB-GENE-5967022).
Based on protein homology to X. laevis and human, they represented the 5' and 3' ends, respectively, of the same gene. We retained XB-GENE-485089 as the Xenbase ID of the merged gene.
